AFRINIC holds two open public policy meetings every year in various locations throughout its service region. AFRINIC Meetings provide a unique opportunity for Internet-related individuals and organisations to gather to discuss the policies governing Internet number resource distribution in the African region, to share technical knowledge, and to attend workshops and tutorials.

The first meeting of each year is held during the Africa Internet Summit (AIS). The annual AIS is a regional multi-stakeholder ICT conference which brings together Africa's ICT business and technical community to discuss regional and global ICT issues and challenges. The AIS is organised jointly by AFRINIC and AfNOG.

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is also held during the first AFRINIC Meeting of each year.

Host an AFRINIC meeting

Local AFRINIC meeting hosts receive optimum exposure by being associated with such events and particularly in collaboration with AFRINIC, a key player in IP address distribution and Internet development in the region. The local hosts are publicly seen as making a contribution to the Internet community.

The local hosts also benefit largely as they are mentioned in most of AFRINIC communication material and their logo as well as name are present on site. This exposure can also be enhanced through a press conference held locally. We therefore encourage you to become our local host and contribute to Africa's progress and development.
